Paint Protection Film — or PPF — is a virtually invisible thermoplastic urethane film applied directly over your vehicle's paintwork. Originally engineered for military aircraft and helicopter rotor blades, it has become the definitive choice for anyone who demands the highest level of protection for their investment. Unlike wax or ceramic coatings, PPF provides genuine physical impact protection — absorbing the energy of stone chips, road debris, insects and light abrasion before it can ever reach your paint. The result is a car that looks factory-fresh for years, not weeks. Our premium installations use industry-leading self-healing PPF film, applied by fully trained and certified technicians in our controlled installation suite. Absorbs and disperses the kinetic energy of road debris before it can pit or chip your paintwork — the most common cause of paint damage on UK roads. The film's top coat actively repels water, road grime and contaminants — so your car stays cleaner for longer and maintenance becomes effortless. Light scratches from brushing, washing or key contact disappear with heat — the film literally heals itself, keeping the surface permanently flawless. Applied correctly, premium PPF is virtually undetectable. Your paint colour, gloss and clarity are completely preserved — nothing is dulled or altered. Select the level of protection that suits your vehicle and lifestyle. Each package can be customised — book a free consultation for an exact quote. Crystal-clear, self-healing film that preserves the full gloss and depth of your factory paintwork. The definitive invisible protection. Minor surface scratches caused by light abrasion disappear on their own when exposed to heat — the film literally heals itself. Our premium PPF is crystal clear and virtually undetectable, preserving the original colour and gloss of your paintwork. The top coat repels water, road grime and contaminants, making the car significantly easier to clean and maintain. Prevents paint fading, yellowing and oxidation caused by prolonged UV exposure — keeping your paint looking new for years. The film absorbs and disperses the impact energy of road debris and stone chips before they can reach your paint. Our premium PPF products are backed by a 10-year manufacturer's warranty against yellowing, cracking and delamination. The Invisible Shield That Keeps Your Paint Perfect

Frequently Asked Questions
PPF is a thermoplastic urethane film originally developed for military helicopter rotor blades. Modern automotive PPF is optically clear, flexible and extremely tough — designed to absorb impact without transmitting damage to the paint beneath.
They serve different purposes. PPF provides physical protection against stone chips, scratches and road debris. Ceramic coating provides chemical resistance, enhanced gloss and easier cleaning. For maximum protection, many of our customers combine both — PPF on impact zones, ceramic coating over the top.
Premium PPF installed correctly will last 10+ years. Our film is backed by a 10-year manufacturer's warranty covering yellowing, cracking, hazing and delamination. With correct aftercare, many installations look pristine well beyond this.
Yes. PPF can be professionally removed at any time without damaging the paintwork. When removed correctly, it leaves the paint in exactly the same condition as when the film was applied — there is no adhesive residue or paint pull.
No. Many customers choose to protect high-impact zones only — the bonnet, front bumper, wing mirrors and door edges. We offer front bumper, full front end, full car and custom partial packages to suit every budget.
The top coat of the film contains elastomeric polymers that have memory. When the surface is scratched by light abrasion — a car wash brush, a fingernail, a light key mark — gentle heat from the sun or warm water causes the polymers to contract back to their original form, making the scratch disappear.
No. Premium gloss PPF is virtually undetectable — it adds no visible layer, does not alter your paint colour, and maintains the same depth and gloss as bare paint. Matte PPF will convert a gloss finish to a smooth satin, which is intentional for customers seeking that look.
It depends on coverage. A front bumper takes 2–3 hours. A full front end typically takes one full day. A complete car wrap in PPF is usually a 2–3 day job. We always provide a firm timescale at the point of booking.
Avoid washing the vehicle for the first 7 days to allow the adhesive to fully cure. After that, hand washing or a touchless wash is ideal. Avoid high-pressure jets aimed at film edges. The film can be waxed and ceramic-coated as normal — avoid harsh abrasives or solvent-based products.
PPF should always be applied directly to clean, bare paintwork for the best adhesion and longevity. If your car has an existing wrap, it would be removed first. If it has a ceramic coating, the surface is prepared accordingly before film application.
Self-healing takes care of light surface marks. For deeper cuts that penetrate the film, the affected panel or section can be replaced independently — you do not need to redo the entire car. This is one of the advantages of a professionally plotted, panelled installation.
For any car where preserving paintwork and resale value matters, PPF is the most effective protection available. Stone chips, which are almost unavoidable on UK roads, can cost hundreds per panel to repair. PPF eliminates that risk entirely and pays for itself the first time it stops a chip on your bonnet.
